1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant – Full Time
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary, Permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience and qualifications

We are looking for a compassionate, resilient and committed 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Corby.

This is a full-time role supporting a child with social, emotional, and behavioural needs on a one-to-one basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.

About the Role:

As a 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide dedicated, individualised support to a pupil with behavioural needs

• Implement behaviour support plans and strategies in line with school policies

• Work closely with class teachers, SENCo, and external professionals

• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil

• Support learning activities, promote engagement, and help the pupil achieve their potential

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting children with behavioural, social or emotional needs

• Remains calm, consistent and positive in challenging situations

• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Is patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusion

• Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting wellbeing
