I am currently working alongside a large Catholic Primary School in the centre of Preston who are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work alongside a young boy in their Reception class. The young boy has speech and language difficulties and needs extra support in further engaging him socially and build self-confidence.

Experience using MAKATON is advantageous, however not essential. The successful candidate may also be required to work alongside small groups of pupils currently assessed below 'expected age related levels' to support them through Literacy, Numeracy and Phonics.

The school is located close to the centre of Chorley and a high percentage of children arriving in school are on free school meals. The role will be to start on Monday 12^th March and run until July 2018 depending on how the child engages with the support. This will be a five day a week position working from 10am - 2:30pm (4.5 hours per day) and will fit perfectly around school hours for a parent! The rate of pay is competitive with other roles of this sort start from 8.41 per hour.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
