Teaching Personnel are seeking a Youth Worker to work at a number of our client schools in Oldham on a full time basis to act as a role model for young people and reduce their likelihood of environment with drugs, alcohol, antisocial behaviour and gangs.

Working as a Youth Worker is a very rewarding role in which you will be making a real difference at a very important time in these young people's lives. Due to the nature of this role we would prefer applications from those who have previous experience as a Youth Worker or in a similar capacity supporting young people. However we would welcome applications from those who have previous experience in a secondary school or from any recent graduates who are seeking a career in Youth Work or Education.

  • Get paid up to £70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities.
  • Further develop your CV through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses.

You will be required to work with pupils on a 1:1 and group basis as you offer them guidance and support for any issues they may have, whether these are learning, behaviour, SEN or SEMH related. Your main duties will be as a Youth Worker as you encourage the pupils to further engage with education and reduce their involvement with any factors that effect young people and lead them astray, however as you will be working within a secondary school you may be asked to take up additional responsibilities, such as working within the classroom and supporting the pupils.

To be considered for this position or for further information on working as a Youth Worker with Teaching Personnel simply reply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV or call Jack at the Manchester North Secondary branch of Teaching Personnel.
