Youth Worker

Are you a current or new Youth Worker, looking to make the transition to secondary schools?

If so, please see the details of the youth worker position within our client's secondary school, located in Ashton-under-Lyne in Tameside.

  • Youth Worker

  • Weekly pay (ÂŁ250-ÂŁ300)

The successful Youth Worker will be teaching on a one-to-one basis ensuring students are engaged during lessons, supporting independent learning in the inclusion unit. You will gain invaluable experience working within secondary education. Supporting and Teaching students a range of subjects such as Maths, English and Science.

Due to a restructuring within our client schools support department, this 11-16 secondary school currently wish to appoint a Youth Worker who can provide mentoring and tuition to pupils who struggle to engage within classes.

The successful Youth Worker will;

  • Have a supportive and caring attitude
  • Have previous experience working with youths
  • Have a calm nature
  • Have the ability to communicate with young people
  • Have the ability to show empathy and treat each day as a fresh start

At our clients school they have a passion about learning and teaching and their highest priority is to produce quality teaching that excites, motivates and challenges their students.

Located 30 minutes from Central Manchester, just of the M67, with a tram stop close to the school, our clients school is very accessible and convenient to get to.
