Exciting Opportunity for a Youth Worker at a Primary School in Lancaster!

We are working on behalf of a warm and welcoming primary school in Lancaster, seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join their supportive team.

Role & Responsibilities: As our new Youth Worker, you will be working closely with children who may need additional support, particularly in terms of social, emotional, and behavioral development. Your role will include:
- Providing individual and group support to students, helping them build confidence and resilience.
- Running tailored interventions for children with specific emotional or behavioral needs.
- Supporting children in developing positive relationships with their peers and adults.
- Assisting teachers in promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Helping students to engage with learning and develop life skills that will serve them beyond the classroom.
- Collaborating with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure each child’s needs are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passionate and empathetic individual with experience in working with children, ideally in a school or youth setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children and adults.
- A proactive, solution-focused attitude, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- An understanding of the challenges some children may face and the desire to support them in overcoming these barriers.
- A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of all students.
- The ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
