Youth Worker, Blackburn

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Blackburn based School who are looking to appoint a Youth Worker to support their pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. The School caters for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School is based on the outskirts of Blackburn and candidates applying for this role must be experienced in working with children with difficult behaviours, ideally from a Youth Worker or Teaching Assistant background.

The School are hoping to appoint a full time member of staff to join their growing team, the School are looking to appoint a hard working, empathetic and enthusiastic candidate with a passion for enriching the lives of children who are often from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The candidate suited to this role will have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and an understanding of working with children who have additional learning needs. The candidate will be confident when working with difficult behaviours and ideally Team Teach trained.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day

- Long term position available
