Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Central Preston (Full-Time, Term Time Only)
Start Date: September

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Central Preston from September. This is a full-time, term-time-only position, working Monday to Friday, 8:40am – 3:30pm.

This welcoming school prides itself on its nurturing approach to learning, ensuring that every child feels supported, valued, and able to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils during a crucial stage of their primary education.

The role will involve delivering targeted Maths and English interventions to KS2 pupils, helping to raise attainment and build confidence ahead of their SATs. You will also support the class teacher in preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 SATs and assist with their transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Maths and English interventions to KS2 pupils
• Support the class teacher with SATs preparation
• Help pupils develop academically and emotionally in a nurturing environment
• Assist in preparing pupils for a smooth transition to secondary school

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
• Have experience working with KS2 pupils
• Be confident delivering Maths and English interventions
• Be supportive, patient, and committed to a nurturing approach to education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
