Full time Year 6 Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Darwen, Lancashire
Rate of pay: £11.85/hour

The school –
This is a reputable community primary school within the Darwen area (BB3) looking to employ a high-quality Teaching Assistant, with a role in a Year 6 classroom. As part of the role, you will be expected to support the learning and development of the children, alongside helping the classroom teacher with supervision and management. This school offers a brilliant curriculum helping each child reach their best potential – including SEND. This is a great opportunity for somebody to kick start their career in education, as the job isn’t exclusively being offered to somebody with experience. Educators with experience within the care sector and nursery sector are also encouraged to apply.
The role –
Within this role you will be expected to assist and work closely with the Year 6 Teacher and other staff members in the classroom, ensuring the planning and assessments are completed. You will be required to mark books and work with small intervention groups (some children may require 1:1 interventions). Your working hours will be 8.45am-3.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. You will also be required to do a welfare duty.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
