Year 6 Teacher Required

  • Full Time
  • Brieghtment, Bolton, BL2
  • An average sized Primary School
  • Salary (£22,023 - £37,496)

Are you have experienced working across KS2? Do you have experience of teaching within a Year 6 Class? Are you able to implement effective behaviour management strategies and work well as part of a team?

If so a larger than average sized primary school is currently looking to employ a Year 6 teacher, as soon as possible, with the possibility to go on to contract for the right person. The school is at the beginning of its journey aiming to develop into an Outstanding school and so is look for practitioners who can develop themselves and become a valued member of the KS2 team. The school is located in the Breightment area of Bolton and can be easily accessed via Bolton, Bury, Blackburn and Preston.

In order to be successful for this role you must:

  • Have a minimum of a years experience working within a Year 6 Class.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum.
  • Be able to demonstrate Good teaching practice, planning and delivering lesson that engages and supports the needs of all learners.
  • Be able to implement effective behaviour management strategies and have a strong classroom presence.
  • Have experience carrying out small group and 1:1 interventions.
  • Have examples of where you have been able to raise the attainment of pupils that you have worked with.
  • Have a real passion to make a difference.
  • Be a strong communicator and a good team player.
