- Teaching Qualification with QTS
- Inspiring and passionate
- Appreciative of creativity and art
- Experience teaching Year 6
- Committed to getting all children to achieve optimal results
- Self-motivated, with ability to motivate children of all abilities
- Knowledge of child development required
- Be able to supply references for the past 2 years at least
- Have a DBS on the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Responsibilities:
- Delivering the Curriculum in a fun and stimulating way
- Planning creative lessons and preparing teaching materials
- Providing a safe and healthy learning environment
- Keeping records of progress, providing feedback
- Encouraging pupils to be independent and reflective
- High expectation of children's behaviour and being able to manage it
- Communicating with parents on regular basis about pupil progress
- Other requirements like after-school clubs, teaching meetings, and parent evenings
