Are you looking for a part-time role in Key Stage 2 starting in January?

Are you committed to the learning and development of children in upper KS2?

As a year 6 teacher at this school you will be responsible for all learning achievements within a class of children. Through effective teaching and lesson planning you will contribute to the monitoring and development of all subject areas throughout the year. As well as being able to offer a high level of pastoral care within this important year as they get ready to leave for Comprehensive school. This role will also require extensive learning and preparation for the students SAT exams which take place in May.

The role would be for 3 days per week, preferably consecutive days. Your responsibilities will include:

 • Preparing lessons in line with the curriculum

• Adaptability to ensure students are challenged depending of their varying needs

 • Working effectively with a teaching assistant where appropriate

• Preparing and explaining homework exercises that will further expand the topic knowledge

• Marking and providing clear and concise feedback on completed work in a timely fashion

• Effective management of classroom behaviour and keeping a positive learning atmosphere
