Year 5 Teaching Assistant, Chorley
The Head Teacher of a primary school in Chorley is looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide support in their Year 5 class from 12th October 2020. The role is temporary until the end of the academic year. Working hours: 08:50 – 15:30.
The role will entail providing general teaching and learning support in Year 5. This will include, but is not limited to, supporting small groups of learners during lesson times, carrying out administrative tasks and delivering out-of-lesson intervention sessions in English and Maths.
In order to be successful in your application, you must have a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and 1 years’ experience in Key Stage 2. Experience of delivering English and Maths intervention sessions is also essential.
The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school in Chorley. Pupils enjoy all aspects of school life – staff support them well to build up their confidence and resilience. Leaders and staff have high expectations of all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Pupils achieve well. Leaders and staff celebrate pupils’ achievements regularly.
