Year 5 teacher needed in Balham, SW12 - April start

A Primary School located in Balham, SW12 have come to Teaching Personnel seeking a Year 5 Teacher to start after the Easter holidays on April 3rd 2018. It will be a 12 month temporary contact to cover a maternity leave. The pay will be between £140- £160 a day depending on experience.

The Headteacher has expressed how they will be looking for a teacher who is vibrant and able to integrate into the team ethos from the get go. They will be looking for someone who is full of ideas that they are willing to share. They are very excited about our future as a school and hope you will share that enthusiasm.

You will be working along side the parallel teacher to do weekly planning and assessments, and they will be on hand at any point to support you within this Balham, SW12 Primary School.

Successful candidate must have:

* Experience working in year 5 or Key Stage 2.

* Sound knowledge on the new revised national curriculum is key as well as being able to develop work that stretches the gifted whilst supporting the lower ability pupils.

* Passionate about children's learning and well being.

* Inspirational

* Committed to raising standards

* Able to lead & work as part of a team

* Prepared to lead after school activities

* Committed to working in partnership with governors and parents

This Balham, SW12 Primary School has recently achieved a GOOD inspection highlighting

"The highly dedicated acting Headteacher and senior leaders are improving the quality of teaching and pupils' achievement. Pupils' achievement in English grammar, punctuation and spelling, extended writing and the teaching of pupils for whom English is not their first languages have all strengthened."
