Year 4 Class Teacher, Preston

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Key Stage 2 teacher on behalf of an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located in the Bamber Bridge area of Preston. The position is to teach the Year 4 class within school from January 2020 until the end of the academic year (maternity leave).

The school prides itself in being a wonderful place to learn and develop – academically, spiritually, morally and socially - each and every day. Their aim is to deliver a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum which challenges every child and they recognise that each member of the school community is unique and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

The school is located on the outskirts of Preston town centre and serves a socially mixed catchment area. The proportion of children who are known to be supported the pupil premium funding is in line with national average, as is the proportion of children with special educational needs/ disabilities.

The Head Teacher of this warm and welcoming school has emphasised the significance of the successful candidate sharing the school’s ethos.  They too must be committed to providing an inclusive environment which enables each and every pupil to progress in their own individual way and enjoy their school experience.

The school are looking for a teacher with a creative ability to plan and deliver lesson content and make learning enjoyable and engaging for the pupils. They should have excellent subject knowledge with regards to English and mathematics and have a good understanding of the national expectations across lower Key Stage 2.

Job Description:

Essential: -

-          Qualified Teacher Status

-          Recent experience of teaching in Key Stage 2

-          Child workforce DBS on the online update service or willing to apply for a new DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
