Year 3 LSA required in Primary School in Finchley

  • Are you an experienced SEN practitioner with 1:1 experience?
  • Are you committed to raising attainment in Primary Education?
  • Do you have a proactive classroom attitude?

If so then Teaching Personnel have the role for you.

The Role

A good school in the heart of Finchley is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 3 child who has Autism. You will work closely with the child to encourage their participation in classroom activities to ensure that they are making good progress. You will have a proactive outlook and be able to plan activities for the child in collaboration with the classroom teacher. The school are looking to appoint an LSA who has previous experience working with Autism in a mainstream school or Nursery. This role would be suitable for a recent Psychology or Sociology graduate provided you can demonstrate previous SEN experience in a classroom setting. This role is initially until the end of the current term however there is the possibility of the role continuing after Christmas for an outstanding candidate.

The School

You will be joining a larger than average primary school in Finchley which is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted. The school is easily accessible via public transport however there is also good parking at the school provided you arrive in good time. The school has a strong ethos which encourages a cognitive approach to learning which complements other pedagogical approaches in seeking to meet the educational needs of their children. The school has a number of CPD opportunities and all staff are encouraged to take an active role in these opportunities.
