Job Title: Full-Time Year 3 Teaching Assistant

 

Location: Sheffield and Barnsley Area

Pay Rate: £77 - £85 per day (Depending on Experience)

Start Date: October 2nd, 2023

Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming school in the Sheffield and Barnsley area. As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality education to young learners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them achieve their learning objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive ethos.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) where required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the overall development of the school community.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to the development of young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
