Year 3 Teacher

Location: Liverpool (L10)

Salary: MPS/UPS (Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale), depending on experience

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start Date: 06/01/25

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact on our pupils’ learning journey during this critical stage of their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring all pupils make progress and achieve their potential.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning and pupil participation.
  • Assess and monitor pupils' progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each pupil, fostering a sense of confidence and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support the overall development and well-being of the pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in staff meetings, parent evenings, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress and achievements, and provide regular updates to parents and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and child protection.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies for this age group.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering creative and cross-curricular lessons.
  • A specialism in a subject area such as Maths, English, or Science.
  • Knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and strategies to support diverse learners.
