Job description

Due to a late resignation, Teaching Personnel are working closely with a "Good" Primary School in Little Lever area of Bolton (BL3) to appoint a Year 2 teacher to add to their 2 form entry key stage 1 department from April. This Bolton based primary school are actively looking to recruit a year 2 teacher due to a late resignation and therefore the incoming year 2 teacher will be employed for the rest of academic year.

- Year 2 Teacher

- Newly or Fully Qualified Teachers

- SATS experience

- Phonics specialism ideally

- Good to Outstanding Key Stage 1 Department

- Main Scale Teaching Pay - £22,467 - £33,160 pro rata.

This primary school in the Little Lever area of Bolton, provide a creative and independent environment for learning and are considered "Good" and their children make good progress. Results within Key Stage 1 are improving and as a Year 2 teacher, you would be welcomed to come on board with their impressive teaching and learning journey. You would be working alongside an experienced year 2 teacher in the parallel class and as such, newly and fully qualified teachers would be welcomed to apply.

Within year 2, there would be an expectation to lead and take control of the key stage 1 SATS tests for the academic year so experience of working with SATS previously would be desirable. In addition, the school use "Read, Write, Inc." phonics so if you have experience using this scheme, this would be beneficial, however by no means essential.

The school is proud of its heritage and links with the local community so the incoming year 2 teacher would be encouraged to immerse themselves into the "whole school life". If you have extra curricular passions, this could be the school for you.

The role is for the rest of the academic year with the potential to go permanent for the right teacher.

This Bolton based primary school are looking to arrange lesson observations and interviews in January once the school is back, so please apply now using the link below or send your CV to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
