Location: Preston (PR1)
Start Date: September 2026
Daily Rate: £120–£150


About the Role

A welcoming primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full‑time role is ideal for a teacher who is confident delivering the KS1 curriculum and supporting pupils through the key transition into more formal learning.


Role Responsibilities

  • Teach and manage a Year 2 class full time
  • Deliver well‑structured lessons that promote progress across all core areas
  • Prepare pupils for end‑of‑KS1 assessments
  • Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with the KS1 team to ensure a consistent teaching approach

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience teaching KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for KS1
  • QTS required – ECTs and fully qualified teachers encouraged to apply
  • A calm, organised, and supportive teaching style
  • Commitment to providing a positive learning environment
