Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring KS1 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative practitioner who is passionate about early learning, committed to high standards, and eager to help young children flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

You will play a key role in shaping pupils' early education by delivering engaging lessons, fostering curiosity, and building strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Contract: Full-time,
Start Date: 1st June 2026
Salary: £120 - £150 per day before AWR is addressed

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL.
  • Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress to ensure every child makes strong progress.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in KS1 (ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • A passion for early learning and child development.
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisational skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
