Year 2 Teacher – Full Time

Location: Preston (PR5)
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-time

A friendly and forward-thinking primary school in the PR5 area of Preston is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join their team after February half term. This full-time role is to cover a planned absence and offers an exciting opportunity to support children during a key stage of their early education.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Plan, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
  • Create a warm, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment
  • Support children's early literacy and numeracy skills
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across KS1
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
