Role: Year 2 Class Teacher
Contract: Full-time / Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £100–£160 per day (AWR applied after 12 weeks)

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Egerton. The successful candidate will bring strong behaviour management skills and a proven track record across KS1 and lower KS2. Building positive, nurturing relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers is essential.

The school is committed to providing children with the very best foundations for their learning journey and is looking for someone who shares that dedication. This position begins in September and has the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum

  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and guide future planning

  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment

  • Differentiate teaching to support all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, or additional needs

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families

  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your practice

  • A committed team player with the ability to work independently when needed

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and dedication to pupil welfare

  • A qualified teacher with QTS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
