Our school in Bishop Auckland is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team.

We are a welcoming primary school at the heart of the Bishop community, where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and kind. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to high standards, creativity, and inclusive learning for all pupils.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all learners

  • Create a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment

  • Assess and monitor pupils’ progress, ensuring every child achieves their potential

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support children’s development

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, events, and teamwork

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for primary education

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching and learning

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and families

  • Is reflective, committed to professional development, and a supportive team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
