About the Role

As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support, including for pupils with additional needs.
• Assisting with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
• Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with the teacher.
• Promoting positive behaviour and upholding safeguarding standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working in a KS1 setting (school or similar).
• A caring, proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and child development.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
