Year 1 Teaching Assistant | Poulton-le-Fylde

Salary: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Are you enthusiastic about supporting young learners in Key Stage 1? We are searching for a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Poulton this January. This is an excellent opportunity to help children develop essential skills and confidence during a crucial stage of their education.
About the Role
As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support, including for pupils with additional needs.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
- Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with the teacher.
- Promoting positive behaviour and upholding safeguarding standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a KS1 setting (school or similar).
- A caring, proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and child development.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
