Year 1 Teacher

Role: Year 1 Teacher

Location: Peckham

Salary: MPS1 to MPS3 (NQTs are both welcome and encouraged)

Start Date: November 2020

Duration: View to become permanent

A Year 1 Teacher is required for a Primary school based in Peckham. The ‘Good’ (Ofsted rated) school are recruiting for a Year 1 Teacher with a skillset to coach pupils through the transition of Early Years to KS1. Please find further details below:

Year 1 Teacher role:

  • Assisting pupils with their fine motor skills to enable improved hand-writing
  • Assessing student’s levels and putting in place appropriate development plans to ensure they are at or above target
  • To work with pupils from a multitude of backgrounds, inviting strong differentiation skills

School Information:

  • Ofsted graded ‘Good’
  • A well resourced KS1 area, with access to Early Years resources
  • An ‘Good’ leadership team that are known for encouraging and supporting their staff as well as positively driving them forward
  • Pupils behave well overall due to the school’s behaviour management policy

Year 1 Teacher role requires for you to have the following:

  • QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Have an up to date DBS or be willing to get one
  • Creativity and a knowledge of the key stage
  • NQTs are welcome
