Job Title: Year 1 Teacher

Location:

East Midlands, Nottinghamshire, West Bridgford

Job Type:

Permanent, Full-Time

Salary:

£140 - £160 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for Year 1 students
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with Year 1 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and differentiate instruction

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience teaching Year 1 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum
  • Ability to use various teaching methods and techniques
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Proficient in assessment and feedback practises

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with special educational needs (SEN) students

Working Conditions:

The role involves working full-time hours during school term times. It may require occasional participation in evening events or meetings. The teacher will be based in a classroom setting within a primary school in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
