Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)

Teaching Personnel is excited to be working alongside a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gorton to recruit a dedicated Year 1 Teacher for the start of the September 2026 academic year.

The Role

As the successful Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences that support pupils as they build confidence and develop key skills within Key Stage 1.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning
  • Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress to ensure outcomes are achieved
  • Providing effective feedback to support pupils' development and attainment
  • Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
  • Contributing to wider school initiatives, events, and enrichment opportunities
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can inspire young learners and make a meaningful contribution to school life.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • A proactive, organised, and positive approach to teaching
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
