The Role
As the successful Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences that support pupils as they build confidence and develop key skills within Key Stage 1.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning
- Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress to ensure outcomes are achieved
- Providing effective feedback to support pupils' development and attainment
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
- Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Contributing to wider school initiatives, events, and enrichment opportunities
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can inspire young learners and make a meaningful contribution to school life.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- A proactive, organised, and positive approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
