Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF24 area of Cardiff who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Worker to join their Year 1 team from April.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners at a key stage in their development and wants to make a real difference in the classroom.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils in Year 1 with their learning, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Providing encouragement, structure, and emotional support to help children stay engaged and confident
• Supporting early literacy, numeracy, and phonics sessions
• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting (school, nursery, childcare, tutoring etc.)
• Is patient, enthusiastic, and confident supporting young children
• Has a genuine interest in education and child development
• Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Holds (or is willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS registered on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
