We are seeking an experienced, confident and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school for the full academic year from September.

This role will be based within a mixed Year 4/5/6 class. The class is lively, energetic and full of personality, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, thrives in a busy environment and isn't afraid to get fully involved in school life from day one.

The successful candidate will be someone who can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils, provide consistent support and bring a calm, proactive presence to the classroom. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is confident using their initiative, can adapt to different situations and is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be confident supporting pupils across Key Stage 2
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Be proactive, resilient and adaptable
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff quickly
  • Be energetic, engaging and able to contribute positively to the wider classroom environment
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

What the school can offer:

  • A full academic year's placement with consistency and stability
  • A supportive staff team
  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact
  • A lively and engaging classroom environment
  • The opportunity to become a valued member of the school community

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to spend a day in school before the end of the summer term. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet the class, get to know the teacher and experience the role first-hand before September. We're looking for someone who can build positive relationships quickly, so the trial day will give you the chance to show us exactly what you can bring to the classroom.
