Pay: GBP60 -GBP70

If so, a teaching assistant is the role for you!
It can be a rewarding job and a useful way of getting experience in the classroom for those with teaching ambitions.
**You would be working in a Secondary setting with children aged 12yrs - 18yrs**
The main role of a teaching assistant is to provide support on a 1:1 basis or small group. The pupils you will be working with are looking for a role model and someone they can trust. It's important that you guide them through their education whilst helping them socially.
Teaching Assistants DO:
• Aid reading and writing
• Manage behaviour
• Develop learning and understanding of material
Teaching Assistants DON’T:
• Don’t plan
• Don’t need the subject knowledge – Beneficial
• Don’t mark work
• Don’t set homework
The headteacher of this school would like to appoint asap. You will be joining a large supportive department that cater for all types of needs from autism to physical disabilities. The pupils experience is the central focus for the Headteacher. They are looking to invest in you with training and development courses to give you the best change in the role.
