Job description

Full-Time Welsh-Speaking Primary Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a primary school in the CF14 area of Cardiff. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about promoting the Welsh language while supporting children’s learning and development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in class with their Welsh language development.

  • Assist the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities.

  • Work with small groups and individuals to reinforce learning.

  • Provide additional support to pupils with specific learning needs.

  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Welsh (spoken and written).

  • Experience working with children (school, tutoring, or youth setting desirable).

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A proactive and caring approach to supporting pupils.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
