A secondary school in the central Manchester area is seeking to recruit an experienced Urdu and Arabic teacher to join their team in September. This school has a number of students from an EAL background given the diverse community that it serves. The school therefore offers students the opportunity to study Urdu and Arabic from year 8 to year 11 gaining a GCSE in these subjects.

The school has the requirement of a part time teacher who is able to teach Urdu and Arabic up to GCSE level as a result of a relocation of one of their permanent teachers. There is the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract following an introduction by Teaching Personnel. Key aspects of this Urdu and Arabic teaching position:

  • Part time Urdu and Arabic teacher required: start Thursday 2nd September
  • Teach and follow the Edexcel syllabus at GCSE level
  • Elements of Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing in both Urdu and Arabic
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale: GBP500 - GBP700 per week
  • Must have QTS or a recognised teaching qualification
  • Applications encouraged from teachers of all experience levels

There is also the option of general cover on the ‘spare’ days with the school for consistency.
