Job Description:

As an Upper Key Stage 2 General Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students in Years 5 and 6. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying abilities.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
• Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
• Contributing to the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
• Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks as required.
• Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to providing the best possible support to students.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
