Job Title: Upper Key Stage 2 General Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary with options to go permanent
Start Date: November 2023
Salary: £77-£95 per day.

Job Description:
As an Upper Key Stage 2 General Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of students in Years 5 and 6. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying abilities.
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
- Supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional needs.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Contributing to the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
- Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks as required.
- Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to providing the best possible support to students.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
