Pay Rate: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year

We’re working with a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Newport to recruit an Unqualified Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a school setting — whether you're a recent graduate, career changer, or simply someone who enjoys working with young people.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects
- Work closely with teachers and the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils stay focused and engaged
- Assist with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and learning needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

- Experience with SEN, care work, or youth support is a bonus — but not essential!
What You’ll Need (We Can Help You Get These!)
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- At least two professional references covering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
