Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

We’re working with a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Newport to recruit an Unqualified Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a school setting — whether you're a recent graduate, career changer, or simply someone who enjoys working with young people.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support students in the classroom across a range of subjects
• Work closely with teachers and the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) team
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils stay focused and engaged
• Assist with behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and learning needs
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

What You’ll Need (We Can Help You Get These!)

Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service
• Level 2 Safeguarding training
• At least two professional references covering the past two years
