Job Title: Unqualified Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Ellesmereport
Salary: £85-£95 per day
Start Date: February
Are you passionate about supporting children and making a difference in their lives? Do you have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Unqualified Teaching Assistant at our secondary school in Ellesmere Port.
While formal Teaching Assistant qualifications are not required for this role, we are seeking candidates with prior experience working with and supporting children, particularly those with SEND. Your skills, commitment, and passion for helping children to thrive in a learning environment are what matter most to us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEND in the classroom, both individually and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet students' needs.
- Provide pastoral care and support, ensuring that students feel safe, included, and valued.
- Help with the development of learning resources and classroom activities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all students can achieve their potential.
- Assist with behavior management, using strategies to support positive outcomes.
- Work closely with other members of the teaching team, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally with SEND, in a school or similar environment.
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
