Unqualified Teacher/Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel are working with a fantastic school in Weymouth who are seeking a Cover Supervisor. The school teaches young people from 11 to 19 and puts great emphasis on a healthy balance between academic work and the all-round development of children making it an excellent environment for students, parents and staff.

About the role:

  • Hours of work are from 0830 – 1530 during term time
  • Weymouth
  • Part time or full time placement starting in January

Cover Supervisors work alongside qualified teachers covering classes for absent staff when necessary. The role is an excellent if you are a graduate looking to become a teacher in the future as we can offer PAID teacher training with our partner training schools! You could be working 1-1 or in small or large class groups, providing support and motivation for students. Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will need to adapt to different classes and groups of children and will therefore need to demonstrate flexibility and excellent classroom management.

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Have a relevant degree or experience
  • Have excellent class management skills
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people.
  • Have the ability to build good relationships.
