Role: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
Location: Prescot (L34)
Schedule: Flexible
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Day to Day Cover
Pay Rate: £13.75 to £14.50 per hour
A lovely community school in the Prescot area are looking for a general cover teaching assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school’s mission statement is ‘Loving, Learning, Reaching out to All’ as they aim to provide a happy, safe, caring environment for its children and staff.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking for a flexible working pattern, who wants to take their first steps into education.
The ideal candidate:
- Will provide support to both the teacher and the class
- Ability to work with all ages throughout the primary age range
- Help set up classes, displays and resources
- Support with reading, writing, numeracy, and other basic skills interventions
- Available and reliable on short notice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
