Tutors Needed For Looked After Children

Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors to provide tuition for Looked After Children on a 1:1 basis in Sheffield and Rotherham. Students generally need support with core subjects such as Maths, English and Science. The ages of students can vary so we are welcoming applications from different tutors. You will work independently with your students and the settings of the tuition will depend on where works best for the student e.g. in school, a care home or a local library.

You will plan, deliver and asses the work of the student whilst simultaneously building a nurturing and supportive relationship with them. Some of the children will be vulnerable and all will come from different backgrounds so it is important you are a caring individual. You may need to conduct baseline assessments to initially evaluate your student's working levels.

We are welcoming applications from experienced tutors and qualified teachers. The work is flexible and tutors often complete multiple assignments per week.

Requirements:

• QTS, a recognised teaching qualification or tuition experience
• A Child Only DBS on the Update Service
• Driving license (preferred)
