Job description

Tutor Wanted – Wickford & Surrounding Areas 

Specialist in Maths or English | Flexible Hours | Immediate Start

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to join our growing team, supporting pupils across Wickford and the surrounding areas.

This rewarding role involves working with young people who may be disengaged from mainstream education and require bespoke, one-to-one tuition tailored to their needs. Referrals come directly from local authorities, with hours ranging from 2 to 15 hours per week per pupil.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting children in either a tutoring or mentoring role

  • Proven ability to support students with a range of additional needs (SEMH, SEND, behavioural)

  • Confident in working with disengaged or vulnerable young people

  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths or English

  • Ability to travel in and around the Wickford area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
