1:1 Tutor – Wellingborough Area

Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas (NN8 & NN10)
Hours: Flexible – During School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Wellingborough area.

Working in partnership with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a range of settings, including:

  • Pupils' homes
  • School settings
  • Local libraries

This role is ideal for qualified educators who are passionate about helping secondary-aged pupils overcome barriers to learning, improve attainment, and regain confidence in their education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised 1:1 tuition sessions for secondary-aged pupils.
  • Support learners across core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and ability levels.
  • Plan engaging sessions that promote progress and engagement.
  • Track, assess, and report on pupil progress.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
  • Follow all safeguarding and compliance procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK secondary schools.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Secondary National Curriculum.
  • Experience supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of abilities.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Ability to travel across Wellingborough and surrounding areas.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous tutoring experience.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those in alternative provision.
  • Experience working with disengaged or hard-to-reach learners.
  • Ability to teach multiple subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4.
