VOCATIONAL TUTOR
Location: Silverstone
Salary: £25.410-£29,190
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday (Term time only)
Hours: 8:15-4:45

We are working with an independent special school, catering for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 19 with a range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Education Support Worker to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to effectively support pupils’ learning.
- Identify and coordinate suitable external providers for offsite activities or third-party collaborations, in agreement with the Headteacher.
- Set clear, achievable targets for pupils.
- Inspire confidence and motivate pupils.
- Serve as a positive role model for pupils.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all pupils.
- Participate in school events as required.
Essential Criteria:
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or equivalent.
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Ability to design and deliver a progressive curriculum using diverse teaching methods.
- Ability to build positive relationships within the school community.
- Proficient in the use of ICT.
- Demonstrates professionalism at all times.
- Possesses high levels of patience and tolerance.
Safer Recruitment Requirements:
- Applicants must be willing to undergo the following checks:
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (can be arranged via Teaching Personnel)
- Two most recent professional references covering the last 24 months
- Overseas Police Check if applicable (for candidates who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the past 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
