Job Title: SEN KS2 Outreach Tutor
Location: East of England, Essex, Orsett
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one support and tailored teaching to Key Stage 2 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Deliver educational outreach sessions in line with individual learning plans
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Work collaboratively with schools, parents, and other professionals to support students' learning
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring children with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the UK National Curriculum and assessment practises
- Ability to differentiate teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in SEN support or specific learning difficulties
- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other complex needs
Working Conditions:
- This role is part-time, with flexible hours based on student needs
- Work may take place in schools, community centres, or students' homes
- Travel within the local area may be required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
