Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Harlow

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

Salary:

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students
  • Develop individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives
  • Monitor and assess student performance to adjust teaching strategies as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Education:

Minimum of a degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching English and Maths at Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum for English and Maths
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for education and helping students achieve their potential

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in providing outreach or remote tuition

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, with flexibility required based on student needs
  • Work primarily in learners homes, local libraries or schools
  • Potential travel within the East of England region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
