Job description

TP Tutors are looking for passionate and driven tutors to support vulnerable pupils on a 1:1 basis. Many of our pupils are struggling to engage with mainstream education and need a tutor to step in, build their confidence, motivate them, support with transitions and help get them back on the right track!

We’ve seen an increase in demand for specialists in core subjects (English and Maths) and have opportunities to support both primary and secondary pupils, so welcome teachers from any background. Tuition takes place in the home environment or out in the local community.

Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
  • Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
  • Medical needs
  • SEN
  • Relocation and awaiting a school placement
  • Improvement in grades
  • Support with GCSE preparation

Successful applicants will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or significant experience in a classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
