Job description

1:1 Tutor – Birmingham Area
Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Job Type: Part-time / Flexible Hours
Setting: Pupil’s Home or School Setting
Working Hours: During School Hours

We are currently looking for motivated and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across the Birmingham area. This role involves providing personalised educational support either within a pupil’s home or in a school setting during school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and tailored 1:1 tuition sessions based on individual student needs.
  • Support pupils in core subjects including English, Maths, and Science.
  • Help students build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve academic progress.
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit varying learning abilities and styles.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback when required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or supporting young people is desirable.
  • Good understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage sessions.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
