Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings)
Location: Birmingham and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (Monday–Friday)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across Birmingham in both home and school settings. You will be working with students who may require additional academic support or need help re-engaging with education, including those with SEN, SEMH needs, or those in alternative provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition sessions tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with a range of abilities and backgrounds
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit different learning styles
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Build strong, positive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience with SEN, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings
- Ability to teach core subjects such as English, Maths, or Science

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
