Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a number of tuition and intervention specialists to support students in Wimbledon. With the effects of the school closure period becoming clear there are a number of schools looking for additional support to help bridge the learning gap. 

There are a large number of schools within Wimbledon that are looking for specialist support, if you have a background within primary teaching or tuition you might be suitable for the role. 

What responsibilities will you have within this role? 

As an experienced teacher/tutor you will be expected to provide tailored session to different students needs, this includes working with small groups of similar abilities. You will work with the class teachers to ensure you are following the correct lesson plans and activities, including working with teachers across year groups to provide consistency in their teaching. 

You will be allocated to a number of students with SEN, EAL and general learning difficulties, including many of the pupil premium students. As you will be working with vulnerable students you will have to be considerate of the well being and mental health of the students. It is preferred to have undertaken training to help equip you for the student's returning. 

Teaching Personnel currently offer a range of CPD courses to help prepare you for your return to schools in September, this includes helping to manage behavioural issues and mental health amongst students. 

Ideal candidates? 

- Experienced supporting students with a range of abilities including, SEN, EAL, vulnerable and pupil premium students. 

- Confident planning and preparing sessions, ensuring you're following the national curriculum. 

- Excellent communication skills, able to provide hand over notes and feedback to other members of staff and parents/carers. 

- Experienced provision tuition/intervention support. 

- QTS preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
