Job description

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, is currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed English Teachers to work in secondary schools. We have flexible opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and permanent positions.

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring English Language and Literature lessons at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the national curriculum

  • Support students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply)

  • Have experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

  • Be passionate about English and student achievement

  • Be reliable, adaptable, and professional

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
