Trainee Teaching Assistant – Southport
Job Title: Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Southport
Length of Role: Until July 2026, starting ASAP
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

A well‑established primary school in Southport is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and keen to gain meaningful experience in a school setting. As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering high‑quality lessons, work with pupils individually or in small groups, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will assist with behaviour support, classroom organisation and the preparation of learning materials. The role provides excellent exposure to a range of teaching methods and the chance to develop essential skills for a future career in education.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience working with children, such as through youth organisations, care roles or sports coaching. A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping children succeed are essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
