Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Blackburn
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and making a real difference in their educational journey? We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant in Blackburn, where anyone can apply! Position: Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a mainstream school environment
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support and interventions
- Assist students with their learning, helping them access the curriculum in an inclusive setting
- Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with additional needs
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
- Help with the social, emotional, and personal development of students with SEN
- Observe and track students’ progress and share relevant information with the team
What We’re Looking For:
- Passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN
- A positive, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting children's individual needs
- A desire to develop your skills and grow in the field of special education
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with children, parents, and staff
- No formal qualifications are required – we offer a Level 2 Teaching Assistant course
- Enthusiasm to learn, develop, and gain valuable experience in a school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
